Abortion: Getting Off of the Slippery Slope

Saving as many lives as we can, even when we can't save them all. That is the hope behind efforts like the 20-week ban, the heartbeat bill, etc.

These efforts are attempts to climb back up a slippery slope that ultimately leads, at the bottom, to a devaluing of all human life. Our culture has been sliding down that slope, and the attempt is being made to slowly but surely make our way back up it.

But even if we outlaw abortion completely, that doesn’t get us off the slope.

A Second American Revolution?

On the fourth of July, we come together as a nation to celebrate what we often call “the American Revolution.” And in recent years, as America’s freedom has become more precarious, many of us have felt compelled to consider whether it might one day be our duty to follow in the footsteps of our forefathers, and engage in a second revolution in defense of liberty. And it is this question which I wish to explore today: should American patriots be preparing for the unhappy event of a second American revolution?
